I need to know what I should have for batting and backing for you to complete long arm quilting on my quiet project. I know that the backing must be a certain numer of inches bigger than my sewn quilt pieces. I am almost ready for you to do the quilting but have these questions. Where are you located? What do you charge? What kind of time do you need to do the quilting?

Asked by: maryjoannelizabeth

I am sorry that I missed this message from you! I usually get them in my email… Not sure why this never forwarded.

To answer your questions I need about 3-4” bigger all the way around. If it is close I can work around it, but I prefer the extra. Makes things a lot easier!

My turn around time currently is about 8 weeks. I need a little more information to give you a price. It goes by size and difficulty do design.

Unfortunately, I can’t tell when you wrote your question. I hope it wasn’t months ago!

Thanks for you interest and I hope to talk soon.

I haven’t posted in FOREVER! I have been sick for months now and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. I don’t know why but I have tied my illness with the weather…. Since it keeps snowing in MAY. I may never get better.

Boy I hope that is a joke:)

The quilt shown here is owned by a super lady. Jean is quickly becoming a personal favorite of mine.

This appliqué quilt was fun to do and I believe will be hanging in her guilds quilt show this weekend in West Bend, WI.

Good Luck Jean!

Later,
Lisa

Ok, so I know everyone is freaking out a bit over the closing of The Quilt Cottage. It is something that will take all of us awhile to adapt to that’s for sure!
I simply wanted to take a moment to let each and every one of you know that I have all of the quilts from there and have begun the process of getting back to quilting already! So no need to panic : )

I have been a little sore from the c-section with Elyssa (did I mention tired too?!) but am gradually beginning to get back to work! I cannot believe how much I miss it and am more than excited to get back on my long-arm again!
I am always available via email or cell so contact me any time!

This fun quilt was made by a new customer Chris. She mailed this to me… I was thrilled when I opened the box! Way cute. I believe this was a baby gift for a grandchild.

Fun pattern to imagine doing. Echo quilted the penguins and did swirls in the sashing. E’s and L’s in the inner border then straight lines in the outer border! Can’t get away from the lines. May be my obsession with Modern Quilts lately.

We are redoing Emma’s room in anticipation of Elyssa’s arrival. She gets the baby room and Em gets an upgrade. Small but new. The quilt I made is actually quilted and I will post about that soon:) FUN!!

OHHH! This quilt has consumed my dreams! Mary made this for her granddaughter. I wish that was me:)

In Google I follow Bunny Hill Designs blog. They have a great FREE tutorial for the Dresden quilt! The inspiration for quilting Mary’s Dresden quilt from this blog. It really was a lot of fun to quilt and I am in the process of picking fabric! (I may have purchased some from Hawthorne Threads!)

This will also be a class that I am teaching this fall through Nicolet. Here in Eagle River.  I will post the photos when I get started. Look it over and start collecting fabric of your own… Then join me in the fun!!

I have been taking pictures like crazy! However, I have not been posting them to my site. My laptop has been on the fritz… It freezes my computer to plug in any USB device.

This quilt is one I finished for Mary after the Holidays. She was very patient! There are two other quilts as well. I had alot of fun on this one. Lately, I have been obsessed with feathers and straight lines… I can’t get enough.

I am hoping to get the rest of my photos up this week. I have ALOT! I have been a busy little quilter. Trying to get it all done before the arrival of Elyssa, which is May 29th. Kinda nice to be able to schedule it out:)
